"The Influence of Water" is a show of work of four, artist friends who live and work at sea level. The are influenced by the river, ocean and marshy areas in between.  All have made a lifelong study of the ever changing tides. They practice how to capture the murky depths of the Cape Fear River. They look to the rolling waves of the ocean to capture the nuances as they crash onto the shore. The spray of the saltwater holds them captivated. Observing people enjoying the waters provide constant inspiration.

Ann Hair, Barbara Bear Jamison, Gale Smith and Jenny McKinnon Wright will open the show of their work at the corner of Market St. and Third St., on Fourth Friday, June 22nd, 6-9pm. The show will hang until July 21st.
