Hometown Memories

Exploring
"Exploring" is one of thirty paintings featured in my solo show "Hometown Memories" that opened November 24th at the Burgwin Wright House. The show, which run through January 20, 2018, showcases paintings from the river to the beaches. Downtown Wilmington is featured in many paintings. The tugboats under the bridge stir memories every time we go over the Cape Fear River bridge. The horse drawn trolley is the subject that captures another memory of visiting the historic downtown. Sand dunes and sunrises are recorded memories of warmer days at Wrightsville beach. "Exploring" captures three small sailboats that the sailing school students from the Carolina Yacht Club beached at a nearby island.
Thank you to the staff of the Burgwin Wright House for hosting this show and thank you to all who were able to come to the opening reception. I do hope you'll stop by to see my show. It runs through January 20th and the gallery is open Tues.- Sat. 10-4.
