Whew!!! It's been a busy few months. If you follow my events or my social media pages, you know I've been doing a few pleinair events. I painted in the 2019 Azalea Festival Garden Club tour and in spite of a day a rain, was able to paint 5 paintings in 2 days and have a successful show and sale. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Cape Fear Garden Club.
Next up was traveling to Norfolk, VA to participate in the Coastal VA Pleinair Event. This is the 3rd year of 4 years I participated so I thoroughly enjoyed seeing artist friends and making new one. A portion of the proceeds benefit Oceanside VA public art.
Next up is painting and preparing for a solo show at the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher. I will be the featured artist July, August, and Sept. 2019.
Although I committed to this show almost 2 years ago, it sure is approaching fast! If you get a chance, see my show "the Magic of the NC Coast".
A group show in October is keeping me busy painting in a square format. My fellow artists and I are all painting 12 paintings in a square format for our "Four Takes" show in Oct. These paintings are keeping me in the studio as it is already getting almost too hot to paint outside. Look for more info regarding this show.
In between all this, I need to visit my hometown to celebrate my parents 70th anniversary, my 50th class reunion and a special family reunion.
So, that's the glamourous life of a professional artist! Thought I was retired, HA!
