A New Year, a New Start

French Champagne
I don't know how many artists are like I am but I get caught up in the bustle and planning for the holidays and my painting takes a back seat. I feel guilty not being in the studio but really need to shop, cook, decorate, bake and do all the things necessary to have a wonderful holiday. The best thing to shake out those cobwebs and get me back in the studio was to take a workshop in early January. It was great to spend 3 days, learning (from Dawn Whitelaw), and just painting. I returned home with a renewed passsion for what I do and can't stay out of the studio. It's almost hard to pull myself away to have dinner. It helps that the weather is freezing. Great time to hibernate in the studio!
