Through the Lower Cape Fear Historical Society, I was honored to be invited to paint local historic properties. A group of pleinair painters met for 6 weeks and through the generousity of the property owners, captured some stunning, historic locations along Wrightsville Sound. One of the places we were invited to was the fairytale farm that we all drive by on the way to the beach. The red barns and outbuildings are like something out of a fairytale. The property owner generously told us the history of the farm and allowed us to capture it (complete with horses) on canvas.

The Latimer House had a show and reception of this work and now some of these special paintings are on exhibit at the Dixie Grill on Market St. Be sure to check it out if you are in the area.
